While on maternity leave, BrightPay calculates pension contributions based on taxable pay visible on payslips. To maintain employer contributions based on an employee's normal pay, enter the required contributions manually, changing the calculation basis from '%', then entering the figure using '£'. This can be done within the payroll tab on the employee's payslip. You can select the dropdown for the employer contributions, change this option to £ and then enter the amount required applicable to the previous gross pay before the maternity leave commenced.
