BrightPay includes a dedicated schedule and report for Statutory Maternity Pay (SMP), which many employers use to plan and review maternity payments. While the same type of schedule isn’t currently available for Statutory Sick Pay (SSP), you can still effectively track and report SSP by using BrightPay’s existing features and reports.
BrightPay allows you to create and save your own custom reports, which can be configured to display Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) payments made to employees over a selected pay period or for the full tax year. Reports can include the relevant payment dates and amounts, making them useful for reviewing SSP history.
Once created, custom reports can be saved and reused, providing an efficient way to access SSP information whenever required.
Creating a Custom SSP Report
To create a new custom report:
- Open your employer file in BrightPay.
- Go to Reports and select Custom Reports.
- Choose New Report and configure the report to include the required SSP payment information, such as employee names, payment dates and SSP amounts.
- Save the report for future use.
For detailed instructions, see Creating a New Report — BrightPay Support.
Downloading, Printing or Emailing a Report
Once your report has been created, you can generate it at any time and choose to:
- Download the report
- Print a copy
- Email the report directly
This makes it easy to share or retain SSP payment information as required.
