Contact your employer directly. They hold your payroll records and can provide copies of payslips, P60s, P45s, and other documents. BrightPay is the software they use to run payroll — we don't store or process your personal payroll data.
Why You Need to Contact Your Employer
BrightPay is payroll software, not a payroll service. Your employer uses our platform to manage and process payroll. All your personal payroll information — wage details, tax records, P60s — belongs to your employer, not to us.
Here's how it works:
- Your employer (or their payroll bureau) uses BrightPay to calculate and manage payroll
- They hold all your payroll data in their systems
- Only they can issue official payroll documents
This is why you can't request these documents from BrightPay — we simply don't have access to your records.
What You Should Do
-
Ask your employer's payroll team directly — they're the quickest route
- Contact your HR or payroll department
- If your employer uses a payroll bureau, ask HR for their contact details
- If your employer has closed or won't respond — contact HMRC directly for help obtaining a P60
- If you've left your job — your former employer must issue a P45 within a certain timeframe; follow up if you haven't received it
What BrightPay Can Help With
We support payroll professionals — not employees. If your employer uses BrightPay and has questions about their payroll setup or system, they can contact our support team.
But for your personal documents, your employer is your first port of call.
