This release brings three new features and two improvements to BrightPay Cloud UK for the 2026/27 tax year. Everything below is live from 18 June 2026. If you have any questions, our support team is happy to help.
New Feature
Target specific pay items when batch zeroising payslips
When using Payroll > More > Zeroise Payslips, you can now select specific pay elements by name โ such as a bonus or a particular allowance โ rather than being limited to zeroising an entire category. For each item you can choose to set the amount to zero or remove it from the payslip altogether. All other pay items on the affected payslips remain untouched. A select all / select none shortcut is also available above the list of pay item types. BrightPay Cloud (UK)

New Feature
Turn off minimum contribution warnings at scheme level
You can now turn off "contributions are below minimum level" warnings at pension scheme level โ in addition to the existing option at employee membership level. This is useful where your scheme meets auto-enrolment requirements through a higher employer or blended contribution rate. Contribution calculations and auto-enrolment compliance logic are unchanged; this controls warning display only and can be toggled on or off at any time per scheme. BrightPay Cloud (UK)

New Feature
Store and display your own Client Reference for each employer
A new Client Reference field is available in Employer > Edit Employer Details > Client Details, so you can store your own internal reference number or code against each employer. Client Reference can also be added as an optional, sortable column on your Browse Employers dashboard, making it straightforward to locate and organise employers by your own reference system. P30 now shows Student Loan and Postgraduate Loan as separate line items
The P30 document now displays Student Loan and Postgraduate Loan deductions as separate line items in the HMRC section, so you can see the total for each at a glance.
