This release introduces the Payslip Comparator for employees, alongside significant performance improvements to journal building, document exports, and behind-the-scenes monitoring. Everything below is live from 3 September 2026.
New Feature

Payslip ComparatorEmployees can now compare any two of their payslips side by side, directly in the BrightPay employee app or portal. A simple explanation shows exactly what has changed between the two pay periods — whether that's a difference in gross pay, net pay, tax, National Insurance, a tax code change, or an updated NI table letter. No more fielding the same payslip queries from your team every pay period. ⚠ This feature is currently available to selected customers only as part of our Alpha programme — not yet available to all customers.
How to use it: Documents → Payroll Documents → Compare Payslips → select two pay periods → Compare

Journal building, previewing, submitting, and exporting is now significantly faster.

CSV and document exports across BrightPay Cloud are now faster and more responsive, including employee data, AE enrolments, AE contributions, journals, and payslips during Payroll Approval.
