United Kingdom updated |
This release includes a number of improvements to the Client Portal, Manager Portal, and payroll processing, many of which address issues raised directly by bureau customers. Everything below will be live from Wednesday 7 October 2026 after 8pm. If you have any questions, our support team is happy to help.
Improvements & Fixes
Important Change
Resources — the access rule automatically now defaults to no employees have access
When uploading a document to the Client Portal resources area, the access setting now defaults to not visible to all employees. Sharing a document with your full workforce must now be an active choice. Existing documents are unaffected.

Manager Portal actions now work correctly for organisation-member managers
Leave requests, approvals, and change of detail requests in the Manager Portal now complete successfully when the employee's manager is set as a member of the organisation.

Payslip email batch continues when one document cannot be rendered
When emailing payslips in bulk, a failure to render one payslip no longer stops the remaining batch from being sent. Any payslips that could not be delivered are automatically retried, and a clear summary of sent and failed counts is shown throughout.

Tab key navigation works correctly after closing a dialog
Keyboard focus now behaves as expected across all pages after a dialog or modal is closed.

Client Portal shows a helpful message when approving leave on a non-worked day
When a manager approves a leave request for a day that is no longer part of the employee's working pattern, a clear explanation is now shown rather than a generic error.

BrightID sign-up now completes for all users
Users who previously encountered a sign-up failure due to a legacy account record can now complete their BrightID registration successfully.
