In BrightPay Cloud, you can easily set up payslip alert emails to let your employees know when their payslips are ready to view in the employee portal.
Select the Employee Portal settings under the Employer tab, choose when you'd like the alerts to be sent, and save your preferences.
These alerts will then be sent automatically for all future payslips once they’re finalised.
If you select "On the Pay Date," this will be based on the date you specified when finalising the payslips, and that date will be reflected in the RTI submission to HMRC.
To disable employee notification emails; Go to Employer > Employee Portal > Settings and untick 'Enable document email notifications'
There is no way to manually force the email payslip notification to employees.
Important - You can create multiple schedules for your pay periods, but please note that only one document availability setting can be applied per period. For example, whether you choose to make documents available on the pay date or a few days before, all schedules within that period must use the same setting. You can’t have one schedule set to release documents on the pay date while another sends notifications or makes documents available earlier.
Note: If you are paying employees earlier than the usual pay date, ie for Christmas or a bank holiday - you can adjust the availability to X number of days before pay date. Choose the number of days before pay date that the payslip should be visible to employees. Then in the next month, adjust this back to your usual settings.
