The employer calendar in BrightPay provides a consolidated view of all employee events and key payroll dates, making it a useful tool for planning upcoming payroll activities, managing leave, and ensuring important deadlines are not missed. This helps you stay organised and compliant with payroll obligations, such as processing pay runs on time and keeping track of statutory leave.
You can find this in Employer - Employer Calendar
An employer-wide calendar is also available in the Employer utility within the Client Portal, which amalgamates all employee events into a single view. The default view is the 'Planner' view showing four weeks view of all employees and leave types.
If you wish to navigate forward or backward in weeks please select the arrow icons with Previous Week or Next Week.
Events can be filtered to show or be hidden on the calendar view if required.
Leave is show in colour-coded bars. By hovering over a bar on the Planner view for an employee a summary view of that leave is shown.
Options are available to select a monthly view or weekly view. Select a date and view the employees' leave and type on the right hand side of the screen.
Entering leave in the Client Portal
It is possible for clients to enter leave in the Client Portal. Go to Employees tab > select an employee & then 'calendar'. Click on any date(s) and the leave options appear on the right hand side:
Key features:
- You can switch between the Planner, Monthly or Weekly view.
- shows combined events for all employees (i.e. those entered on the employee calendar, as well as birthdays)
- ability to filter which kinds of events are displayed on calendar and in the day event list.
Please note: it is not currently possible to hide employees who have left in the tax year in the client or manager portal
Printing or exporting the employer calendar
It is not currently possible to print or export the employer calendar directly from BrightPay, and there is no integration available to sync the employer calendar with external calendar applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Google Calendar, or Apple Calendar. If you need to share calendar information with someone who does not have portal access, you would need to do so manually — for example, by taking a screenshot of the relevant calendar view.
